Salesforce Breaks a Wave and Builds a Platform

At Dreamforce 2014, Salesforce announced its newest platform, Salesforce Wave. This “Analytics Cloud” was a long-awaited addition to Salesforce’s portfolio, as users have waited several years for this announcement. As Blue Hill looks at the Salesforce Wave from the view of the financial, technological, and line of business stakeholders, we find that Salesforce has built a strong vendor ecosystem to establish Salesforce Wave as an analytics platform for the sales, marketing, and service communities.

About Hyoun Park

Hyoun Park is the Chief Research Officer of Blue Hill Research where he oversees day-to-day research operations, delivery and methodology focused on vendor and technology selection. James Haight is a principal analyst at Blue Hill Research focusing on analytics and emerging enterprise technologies.
